Paperblanks Lyon Florals Journal Collection
Travel back a few centuries with this Paperblanks Lyon Florals collection, inspired by the French city’s silk textiles. By the mid seventeenth century, over 14,000 looms were in use in Lyon. Silk weaving had a halo effect on the development of other related industries in the area, including spinning, dyeing and special paper printing used for textile design drawings - employing nearly 15,000 workers. Business was booming in Lyon.
Lyon emerged as a silk capital largely due to its workers’ artistic and technical creativity, their intricate floral designs embellishing Paris’ haute couture. Behold it here on Paperblanks’ elegant journals.
