Valentines Day 2017 Favorite Love Poem

It can be hard to find a great Valentines Day Gift, but we have a suggestion. A beautiful journal with a handwritten Love Poem written on or glued in on the end paper in front of the Journal. It can be your own writing if inspiration catches you or a favorite poem by someone else. Make it extra special by printing or writing on art paper and gluing the art paper onto the the Fly leaf (The right side of the front end paper)

A journal is the perfect Valentines gift for yourself or your Valentine

One of our favorite Love Poems by Lebanese Poet Khalil Gibran below. What is your favorite Love Poem?

Love One Another

Love one another, but make not a bond of love.
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup, but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread, but eat not from the same loaf.
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone.
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.
Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of life can contain your hearts.
And stand together, yet not too near together.
For the pillars of the temple stand apart.
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.

Walk as if you are kissing the Earth with your feet. Thich Nhat Hanh

A love poem to the planet, which is so deserving of our love and gratitude in this time of taking with so little return, if any.

The one my dad wrote for my mother…

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
My shirts need ironing,
So this one’s for you.

Taped to a new iron. I still giggle..

And no, she didn’t hit him with it. She sent his shirts to the cleaners and told him to pick them up when done!

A million stars up in the sky
one shines brighter I can’t deny
A love so precious a love so true
a love that comes from me to you..

Erotikos Logos by Giorgos Seferis

Rose of fate, you looked for ways to wound us
yet you bent like the secret about to be released
and the command you chose to give us was beautiful
and your smile was like a ready sword.

The ascent of your cycle livened creation
from your thorn emerged the way’s thought
our impulse dawned naked to possess you
the world was easy: a simple pulsation.
