Paperblanks Mucha Journal Collection
Call it serendipity. In December 1894, Czech artist Alphonse Mucha answered a Paris print shop’s need for a poster to promote a play featuring Sarah Bernhardt, the most famous actress of the period. When his poster hit the streets of Paris, the starving artist became an overnight sensation and his work popularized what would become the French Art Nouveau movement, initially known as “le style Mucha.”
This Paperblanks Journal Collection recreates an era when artists were reacting to the academic art that defined the 19th century. Mucha’s pale pastel colors, naturally sensuous curves, refined decorative elements and strong composition celebrated the creative spirit and now form the canvas for this collection.
Let the Mucha Journal Collection unleash your own creative spirit.
