Paperblanks Grande, Aurelia 8.25 x 11.75 Inch Blank Paper
The cover of this remarkable Paperblanks Aurelia Grande Journal is based on an original design by Pierre Paul Dubuisson, a legendary 18th century French bookbinder, who together with his father specialized in almanacs decorated with gold plates. Dubuisson’s designs were so prized, that in 1758 he was appointed King Louis XV official bookbinder.
The original 18th century binding housed the king’s procedures for Holy Week. The Paperblanks Aurelia design is a marvelous riot of gold tooled rococo elements, featuring birds, flowers and leaves even the spine is decorated.
