Paperblanks Laurel Burch Soul and Tears, Midi 5 x 7 Inch Lined Journal
Laurel Burch drew from a North American Indian proverb, “The soul would have no rainbow if the eyes had no tears,” to create her magical Soul & Tears painting. It’s food for thought on this beautiful Paperblanks’ journal. Metallic threads and bright colors weave their way through the birds and bold face, while a unique diagonal flap parts the woman’s flowing hair. A tribute to the strength and spirit of women everywhere, this journal will inspire your own inner resolve.

About Laurel Burch: Laurel Burch grew up with the double burden of an unstable home and a genetic condition that made her bones prone to snapping. Her illness forced her to live with pain and frequent hospital stays for most of her life. Settling in San Francisco as a 19 year old single mom, during the turbulent and exciting 1960s, she scraped out a living, making one of a kind jewelry in her kitchen. Her jewelry, made out of discarded pieces of metal, beads and other found objects, became hugely successful. A self taught artist, she expanded into painting and business, eventually achieving great success in both. Determined to have her art be an uplifting force for good she imbued each of her artworks with her unique, positive and vibrant look on life.
